Spotlight on Diversity: Portland Film Festival’s Indie Film Series
Dive into the Portland Film Festival’s Indie Film Series 24/25, a celebration of diverse voices and stories that challenge, inspire, and transform. Our series kicks off with a powerful showcase of films by Black voices, setting the stage for a year of meaningful cinema.
Join us on the first Tuesday of every month at McMenamin’s Kennedy School, where doors open at 6pm for an evening of discovery and dialogue. February starts strong with narratives that illuminate the experiences and talents of Black filmmakers. In March, we shine a light on films directed by women, celebrating their unique perspectives and storytelling prowess. April brings films about the environment, offering compelling narratives that urge reflection and action.
Be part of this cinematic journey. Engage with groundbreaking works, including films from local talents and even Prosper Portland’s Amplify Grant recipient Misha Webley. Each screening is an opportunity to connect with creators, thinkers, and fellow film enthusiasts in a vibrant community setting.
Mark your calendars and join us for the Indie Film Series 24/25 at McMenamin’s Kennedy School, February 6th. Immerse yourself in the raw, unfiltered essence of indie cinema. Here, every film is not just a screening but a conversation, a step towards understanding and change. Be there, where stories come alive.
